Shop brought dog treats are all chemically treated in some way with preservatives; this is the only way that meat/protein dog treats or pet treats that supposedly contain real meat can remain in a stable condition on the shelves for months and sometimes years in Supermarkets and Pet Stores. The preservatives used on or in these treats and pet foods, we believe, are the leading causes of the numerous health issues that afflict our pets today and, in some cases, result in premature death. As all our doggy treats are truly preservative and salt-free, keeping the unopened vacuum-sealed packets in the freezer is best.
Once the vacuum-sealed packets are opened, the treats are best kept in an airtight container in the fridge. If you have a variety of our products because you like to give your fur baby a different treat every day, we recommend you only keep enough treats in the fridge for a few days at a time and then the rest in the freezer, ensuring that the treats are kept in premium condition, and if you have a small dog breed we also recommend that you only keep a weeks supply of our preservative and salt-free dog treats in the fridge and the rest in the freezer until needed, thus ensuring that our doggy treats stay in premium condition.
